Whole Body Health

My experience working in wellness goes way back to 1983 when I began working at a woman’s clinic. I advocated for women and in those days, we took pride in doing as much of our health care without a doctor as possible. Personal responsibility in health was my mantra from the beginning.
Since then, I have studied, dabbled in, and gained expertise in everything from herbs, Chinese medicine, homeopathy, crystal healing, Thai massage, pre-natal massage, midwifery, energy work, weight training, fitness, nutrition, and Essential Oils. Having such a long a varied background has formed some general ideas I have about health.
Mind/Body/Spirit
We are first and foremost energy beings.
Our health or ill-health largely begins in energy and then passes through the various densities of energy into physical form. While I do believe that one can have events just “happen”, that we are not completely in charge of what manifests in our life, we do have much control–or perhaps a better word–choice.
Much of our health, perhaps 80%, is a result of our choices of life.
Good health is a key ingredient, not absolutely necessary but certainly very, very helpful, in reaching our spiritual potential. We learn to be spiritual by caring for ourselves, and we can be more spiritual when our bodies are functioning well.
We have all that we need to know to be healthy right now. Every form of media and education could shut down this minute, and all that we need to know is here. Our only obstacle is that we don’t do what we know to be true.
A very important cause and result of good health is to remember who we are. I believe that in loosing ourselves, forgetting our purpose here on earth, we disconnect and this can only lead to ill-health. The energy does not flow correctly and this ripples down into our bodies.
We do not have to live with the myriad of common health complaints now. When clients come in, so often they complain of headaches, backaches, allergies, skin conditions, metabolic conditions, and depression, and often they are on many very potent medications. We have come to accept this as normal. It is not.
The only reason to have all of the physical complaints we take for granted is to wake us up enough to act. We must find our way back to balance and grounding. We must reconnect with spirit. We can start with our bodies, or start with our spirit, but with either path, it is absolutely essential that we knit ourselves back together into wholeness.

- Spiritual connection and how to weave spirit in our busy daily lives
- Energy health and how to keep our energetic bodies healthy
- Athletics and how to find lessons and meaning in physical challenges
- Simple health like preventing colds, decreasing stress and increasing energy
